A Good Day to be Happy

I looooveeee manatees, so of course I had to get my hands on the Oh Manatee stamp set by Gerda Steiner Designs. I colored the manatees with copic markers (BV23, BV25, BV29), added the fish and reed and created a background with Ranger Distress Oxides (Salty Ocean, Blueprint Sketch, Tumbled Glass) and the WPlus9 wave boder die.

I added the sentiment from the Be Batman set by Katzelkraft and some Nuvo Drops. Ready! Happy!

Happy Bath Day

I want to show you a funny bathday, umh, birthday card today 😊. I used the cute crocodile stamp by Scrapadile, colored it with Copic markers and added some accents with Derwent Inktense pencils.

To make the bubbles look more real, I added some clear Wink of Stella and coated them with Ranger Glossy Accents.

Can you see the gloss and sparkle?
To finish the card, I die-cut the panel with some decorative rectangle die by WPlus9 and glued it onto a dark blue card. Guess this would make a great card to accompany a giftcard for a day in a Spa or some bath pearls or so.

Beautiful Orchids

It’s my MIL‘s birthday today. As she loves orchids, I created this card with the beautiful stamp by Penny Black.

I colored the rubber with my Zig Clean Color Real Brush markers, then misted it with water and stamped onto watercolor cardstock. I added some color with a brush here and there snd splattered some diluted color over the panel. The sentiment is by jm-creation.de and says „a little birthday greeting“. To finish the card, I die-cut the panel with a stitched border rectangle die by CreaLies and matted it with some purple cardstock onto a white card.

Happy Easter!

Happy Easter! I hope you all have a wonderful weekend!
Today I want to show you a fun slider card with the little kiwis by Scrapadile.

For the egg, I blended Distress Oxides Bundled Sage, Cracked Pistachio and Twisted Citron on a panel of white cardstock. I sprinkled some water and some diluted Distress Oxides Vintage Photo and Salty Ocean on it. Then I die-cut the egg with the crackle by Craft Emotions from the panel.

I stamped the cute kiwis by Scrapadile with black Memento ink and colored them with copicmarkers. To get some texture on their feathers, I dipped a piece of paper towel into Copic blending solution and dabbed it onto the image. I learned this technique recently from Kathy Racoosin and think it’s a great way to achieve subtle texture on small images where it can be tricky to use a lot of different Copic markers.

Here’s a close-up where you can see the texture better.

For the background, I stamped an full-cover stamp by Impression Obsession with light green dye ink onto a panel of textured white cardstock. I used the My Favorite Things Circle Spinner Channels Die-Namics to create a small channel into my background, then mounted the upper part of the egg onto a slider replenishment by My Favorite Things. The sitting kiwi and the lower part of the egg were glued below the slider channel, the upper part was put into the channel, the standing kiwi glued right from the egg. Oh, and I forgot the sentiment - it’s by Kartenkunst and was stamped with black Versafine ink onto the background. I mounted the whole background panel onto foam tape and glued it onto a green card.

Here's a little video of the slider card in motion!

Get Well Soon!

Almost everyone I know is suffering from the flu right now 🤧🤒 - so I decided to create a Get Well card with those cute Kiwis by Scrapadile stamps.

I colored the Kiwis with Copic markers and fussy-cut them, then added the injection from an Art Impressions set to one of the Kiwis‘ pecker.

The background is blended with Ranger Distress Oxides in several green hues, then I stamped a very old stamp by Just for Fun with water onto it to remove some ink and create more interest. I added the sentiment and glued the Kiwis onto it, the one with the injection is sitting on an action wobble.

Cook Card-in-a-box

Yesterday it was the 50th birthday of a friend who owns a Portuguese restaurant. I made this card-in-a-box for him:

The images are from the My Favorite Things set Recipe for Happiness. I colored the images with Copic markers and fussy-cut them.

The design paper I used to decorate the outside of the box is by BoBunny.

A card-in-a-box always makes a big WOW, but they are quite easy to make. Give it a try 😉!

Scrapadile Stamps DT

I feel very proud and honored that I’m part of the Scrapadile stamps DT now! They have such unique and fun stamps - I‘m totally in love especially with their Kiwi sets!
So, this is my first card for the Scrapadile DT!

I stamped the Kiwis and colored them with Copic markers, then fussy cut them. For the background I used a Poppystamps die set and a My Favorite Things stencil. The little fly is from a Your Next Stamp set. I stamped, colored and fussy cut it, too, then glued her onto the background and added some glitter with my Wink of Stella marker. As the wings still were not eye-catching enough, I added some Ranger Glossy Accents.
Hope you like it 😊!

A little Thank You...

I always have some Thank You tags in my stash for all those situations when just quick thank you along with some chocolates or a bottle of wine is needed. The My Favorite Things Dienamics Tag Builder dies are just perfect for that. And the cute Bitty Bear set by My Favorite Things makes the perfect images for the tags!

Longing for spring

Snow over here, but I’m so much longing for spring! So when I created a birthday card for my SIL, I reached for this beautiful stamp by Penny Black to bring some sweet cherry blossoms and singing birds into my craft room.

I applied the colors directly onto the rubber with my Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers, then spritzed the stamp with water and stamped it onto heavy mixed media paper. I painted a bit of blue between the twigs for a background and sprinkled turquoise Brusho over the image with my Tim Holtz Splatter Brush.

You are pawsome

I got this brand-new stamp by Stempelbar this weekend, and I’m totally in love with it 😍! Isn’t this furry gang just the cutest?

I colored the pets with Copic markers, then fussy-cut them. The background was created with Ranger distress oxides, then I stamped the Hero Arts Constellation background stamp with water on it. I embossed the sentiment by My Favorite Things with white embossing powder, glued everything together and die-cut it with a CreaLies stitched rectangle die.

For the final touch, I glued some tiny stars onto the background and added Ranger Black Accents to the noses.
Have a great day 😊!

Gone from your Side

A dear friend lost her beloved cat recently. So I made her a little photo frame and a sympathy card.
The background stamp is by Create a Smile. I stamped a cat image by Inkadinkado with black ink, colored only the heart on her necklace with a red marker and a glitter pen, cut a cloud from colored vellum and placed the cat on it. The sentiment is from the brand-new Critter Condolences set by My Favorite Things.

For the photo frame I cut some cat-themed DCWV design paper in the right shape for the background and the frame and toned it down with some distress ink. I added a pic of my friend’s cat and some die-cut hearts.

I die-cut a banner from red cardstock, stamped the sentiment by Inky Antics on it, folded it an placed it on the outside of the frame. I embellished it with a little rhinestone heart. Finally, I added a wood veneer cat shape and a ribbon with paw prints.

Have a great day, and give all your pets an extra hug 🤗!
