Happy Bath Day

I want to show you a funny bathday, umh, birthday card today 😊. I used the cute crocodile stamp by Scrapadile, colored it with Copic markers and added some accents with Derwent Inktense pencils.

To make the bubbles look more real, I added some clear Wink of Stella and coated them with Ranger Glossy Accents.

Can you see the gloss and sparkle?
To finish the card, I die-cut the panel with some decorative rectangle die by WPlus9 and glued it onto a dark blue card. Guess this would make a great card to accompany a giftcard for a day in a Spa or some bath pearls or so.

Beautiful Orchids

It’s my MIL‘s birthday today. As she loves orchids, I created this card with the beautiful stamp by Penny Black.

I colored the rubber with my Zig Clean Color Real Brush markers, then misted it with water and stamped onto watercolor cardstock. I added some color with a brush here and there snd splattered some diluted color over the panel. The sentiment is by jm-creation.de and says „a little birthday greeting“. To finish the card, I die-cut the panel with a stitched border rectangle die by CreaLies and matted it with some purple cardstock onto a white card.

Cook Card-in-a-box

Yesterday it was the 50th birthday of a friend who owns a Portuguese restaurant. I made this card-in-a-box for him:

The images are from the My Favorite Things set Recipe for Happiness. I colored the images with Copic markers and fussy-cut them.

The design paper I used to decorate the outside of the box is by BoBunny.

A card-in-a-box always makes a big WOW, but they are quite easy to make. Give it a try 😉!

Longing for spring

Snow over here, but I’m so much longing for spring! So when I created a birthday card for my SIL, I reached for this beautiful stamp by Penny Black to bring some sweet cherry blossoms and singing birds into my craft room.

I applied the colors directly onto the rubber with my Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers, then spritzed the stamp with water and stamped it onto heavy mixed media paper. I painted a bit of blue between the twigs for a background and sprinkled turquoise Brusho over the image with my Tim Holtz Splatter Brush.

Happy Birthday, Birka!

A very special post today... where do I start?
Today there's the launch of a very, very special Blog Hop. A lot of us have been looking forward to this for a very long time, and I'm so happy and proud to be part of all that amazing stuff going on! It's Birka's birthday today  - you all know Birka, don't you? She's one of the most amazing, funny, creative, kind and caring people out in this crafty world. And that's why the Happy Crafty Friends, a group of amzing, incredibly talented girls secretly planned a Blog Hop with tons of surprises and had a hard but oh so fun time keeping secrets, hiding stuff and trying to hold our tongues!

Well, every Blog Hop starts with a card, so - drumroll, please - here's my birthday card for dearest Birka!

Birka loves everything pink and glitter, so of course this card had to be the most pink card I ever created! The background is made with Ranger Distress Oxide Picked Raspberry ink and a The Art of Brett Weldele stencil. I added a bit of shimmer with Nuvo Embellishment Mousse Peony Pink and some dots of Nuvo Jewel Dops Pale Periwinkle.

The Art of Brett Weldele Stencil gewischt. Am Rand dann noch ein wenig Glitzer mit Nuvo Embellishment Mousse Peony Pink, und dann noch ein paar Pünktchen Nuvo Jewel Dops Pale Periwinkle darauf.

The image is one of the exclusive stamps the Happy Crafty Friends designed just for Birks's birthday and the Blog Hop - you can win it if you join the party, so make sure to read this post completely! I colored the image with Copic markers and a white Sharpie and added some black Wink of Stella on the nose. The doggie sits on an action wobble, so you can see this fun little guy wobbling on the card because he's so happy to join Birka's party.

So this is my card - now it's time to take a look at all the other amazing cards created by the Happy Crafty Friends - go to their brandnew blog!

Yappy Birthday

Hi and good morning!

I hope you all had a great weekend, even when the weather wasn't summery at all, at least here in Northern Germany... It's my turn on the Cards und More Shop Blog today with this little project.
Perhaps I wanted to escape the rainy wheather with this card with its blue sky and little white clouds. And I had to use a dog on this card - dogs always make me happy.

I started with the cloudy sky which I created by sponging Ranger Distress ink Salty Ocean through the stencil Dutch Doobadoo Mask Art Clouds 2 onto white cardstock. Then I die-cut it with the My Favorite Things Die-namics Cross-Stitch Rectangle Stax and cut a slider channel into it. I always keep the piece I cut out for the channel and stick it later behind the front panel - I like that better than the plain white card base peeking through the slider channel.

Then I stamped the cute little dog from the Penny Black buddy & duck stamp set and the gifts from the Jane's Doodles Mr. & Mrs. Claus stamp set with Memento Tuxedo Black ink, cut them out and colored the images with markers. Isn't that little dog just the cutest?

Then I mounted the dog onto a slider piece and put it into the slider channel, stamped the sentiment from the My Favorite Things stamp set Four-Legged Friends onto a white card base, mounted the whole cloudy rectangle with foam tape onto the card base and added the gifts. For the final touch I added the new Nuvo Drops onto the gifts. Can you see the difference between the Crystal Drops (I used Crystal Drops Caribbean Ocean), which dry with a glossy finish, and the Jewel Drops (I chose Jewel Drops Pale Periwinkle), which dry translucent? They are soooo beautiful!

Here you can see the dog sliding down the card to open his birthday presents!

Have a great week!

For my prehistoric friend

Recently, a very dear stamping friend turned 50. I wanted to create a very special card for her, so I decided to make a box card. And I wanted it to be a bit funny, so the Your Next Stamp Dino-Mite! set was just perfect. That's what I came up with:

The dinos are colored with these copic markers:
  • V12,V15,V17
  • B23, B45
  • G43,G82

Aren't these dinos just the cutest? And here's a little video of the card!
