Hi y'all,
Today I'm on the Cards und More Shop Blog with this cute set of doggie Christmas cards. I'm a total dog person, so of course I fell in love with the cute Happy Pawlidays stamp set by My Favorite Things. The images in this set are so sweet and funny that cards with these doggies come together very easily, you don't need much extras to set them in scene.

I stamped the images with Memento Tuxedo Black ink onto white cardstock, cut them out and colored them with Copic markers.

For the sentiment I die-cut the Merry Christmas Circle Frame from red cardstock, covered it with Wink of Stella for some sparkle and a thick layer of Ranger Glossy Accents.

For the background I used some palette knives to bring on Nuvo Glimmer Paste Moonstone through the Dutch Doobadoo Mask Art Stars onto my card.

I glued the images with foam tape onto the card and added some white accents with a Sharpie pen and Ranger Enamel Accents Black Tie on the doggies' noses for the final touch.

Materials I used:

SEAson's Greeting

Happy Sunday and Sea-Son's Greetings!

Today I'm over on the Cards und More Shop Blog with a cool water shaker card.

I'm addicted to all ocean creatures, and so I couldn't resist when I saw the cute SEAson stamp set by Waffle Flower. And I had immediately in mind to create a water shaker card with it - the SEAson-Santa just has to swim!

I stamped all the images with Memento Tuxedo Black ink onto white cardstock, cut them out and colored them with Copic markers. Then I created a background with Ranger Distress Oxide inks Salty Ocean, Peacock Feathers and Broken China and glued my images onto it.

Aren't those fish decorating their Christmas tree just too cute?

I filled a clear plastic bag with a bit water, some sequins and added a drop of Distress Ink Broken China so that the water looks blue. I sealed the bag with tape, wrapped it around my card and secured it on the back of my card. To hide the folded sides of my plastic bag, I cut a frame from blue cardstock and glued it over the plastic bag. I finally added the treasure chest on top of the frame - done!

Here's a short movie to show you how the water moves in the card.

  Materials I used:

Waffle Flower Stamp Set - The SEAson  Memento Stempelkissen TUXEDO BLACK               Ranger - Tim Holtz Distress Oxide Ink Pad Broken China   Ranger - Tim Holtz Distress Oxide Ink Pad Salty Ocean    Ranger - Tim Holtz Distress Oxide Ink Pad Peacock Feathers        COPIC ciao Marker 72er Set A  Ranger Mini Ink Blending Tool 2,5cm round      Distress Ink™ Refill Broken China    Pailetten - COL.6570 - 6mm - 9g

Thanks for looking and have a great Sunday!

Merry Making

Do you know Online Card Classes? After seeing so many awesome creations out there, I finally decided to sign up for the Merry Making online card class. And though I didn't have enough cryfta time during this week, I loooveeee all the inspiration and tutorials I found there!
The first lesson is all about backgrounds for Christmas cards, and look what I created!

The background is blended with Ranger distress oxide inks in non-traditional Christmas colors. Then I die-cut and embossed a full-cover die by Memory Box. The cute seal is by My Favorite Things, the German sentiment saying "Merry Christmas" is by Klartextstempel.

I added some Wink of Stella and Ranger Black Enamel Accents on the seal's nose and some Nuvo Jewel Drops on the background.

Another card I created as a homework for the online card class is this one:

The Bokeh background technique is taught by Kristina Werner, and it's not that simple as I thought first... But I finally came up with this sparkly creation, and I really love it!

The sentiment die is by Gummiapan, snowflake stamps by Inkadinkado and Impression Obsession.

Can't wait to go on with the next lesson...

Gift card from the Arctic

Hi and happy Monday!

When I saw this fab polar bear stamp by Woodware for the first time, I fell in love immediately! When I took a closer look, I thought, oh my, it is a really HUGE stamp! And then I had the idea that the polar bear should absolutely use his huge paws to hold something - so I came up with the idea for a gift card holder.
Whenever I use huge stamps like this one, I try to position them in an asymmetrical way to make them look less giant. In this card I could place the icebear's paw even partially outside of the card for an additional eye-catcher. But let's start from the beginning: The background was created with Ranger Distress Oxides Salty Ocean and Faded Jeans, then sprinkled with water and white Dylusions Paint to achieve the look of fallling snow. I stamped the bear with Memento Tuxedo Black onto white cardstock and colored him with Copic Markers, then I embellished his nose with clear Wink of Stella and Ranger Glossy Accents. The sentiment was created with Versamark ink and white embossing powder. I fussy-cut the ice bear, glued him diagonally onto the background, then cut along the edges of the background panel. I glued the background panel onto some blue double-folded card and placed the paw with foam tape over the edge.

For the inside, I followed exactly the same steps as for the front panel, but this time I placed the bear in the center of the page and cut two semi-circular slits about 1.5 cm from the lower edge (you can easily cut these slits with the help of a penny). The I placed both paws with foam tape as if they were holding the gift card.

I punched mini tags from light and dark blue cardstock with the and stamped the sentiment on the light blue one with Memento Tuxedo Black, then tied the two mini tags together with some baker's twine and attached them with a staple.
Finally I glued the panel on the inside of my double-folded card and put the gift card into the slits - there you are.

So what are you going to put into the ice bear's paws?
