You are pawsome

I got this brand-new stamp by Stempelbar this weekend, and I’m totally in love with it 😍! Isn’t this furry gang just the cutest?

I colored the pets with Copic markers, then fussy-cut them. The background was created with Ranger distress oxides, then I stamped the Hero Arts Constellation background stamp with water on it. I embossed the sentiment by My Favorite Things with white embossing powder, glued everything together and die-cut it with a CreaLies stitched rectangle die.

For the final touch, I glued some tiny stars onto the background and added Ranger Black Accents to the noses.
Have a great day 😊!

Hi y'all,
Today I'm on the Cards und More Shop Blog with this cute set of doggie Christmas cards. I'm a total dog person, so of course I fell in love with the cute Happy Pawlidays stamp set by My Favorite Things. The images in this set are so sweet and funny that cards with these doggies come together very easily, you don't need much extras to set them in scene.

I stamped the images with Memento Tuxedo Black ink onto white cardstock, cut them out and colored them with Copic markers.

For the sentiment I die-cut the Merry Christmas Circle Frame from red cardstock, covered it with Wink of Stella for some sparkle and a thick layer of Ranger Glossy Accents.

For the background I used some palette knives to bring on Nuvo Glimmer Paste Moonstone through the Dutch Doobadoo Mask Art Stars onto my card.

I glued the images with foam tape onto the card and added some white accents with a Sharpie pen and Ranger Enamel Accents Black Tie on the doggies' noses for the final touch.

Materials I used:

My Favorite Things Happy Pawlidays Clear Stamps (BB-51)  Memento Stempelkissen TUXEDO BLACK    COPIC ciao Marker 72er Set A    My Favorite Things Die-Namics Merry Christmas Circle Frame (MFT-1188)  Ranger Glossy Accents    ZIG Wink of Stella Brush Clear Glitter MS-55/999   Tonic Nuvo glimmer paste 50g moonstone  Dutch Doobadoo Dutch Mask Art - Stars    Viva Decor - Schablonier-Spachtel Sharpie Extra Fine Point Poster Paint Marker - White | Weiß   Ranger - Enamel Accents - Black Tie  3D Foamtape - 2 m Rolle, 1 mm dick

Have a great day and give your doggies an extra hug from me!

Who let the cats out?

Friends of mine are vets, and they send birthday cards to their four-legged patients. So I create a whole bunch of cards for them once in a while. So look at all the meowing and barking on my desk!
For a closer look:

I used my copic markers for coloring. I love the following color combinations for coloring cats and dogs:
  • C1 - C3 - C5 - C7 (for the cats with the more cool gray tones)
  • W0 - W1 - W2 - W3 - W5 - W7 (that's for the cats with those slightly brownish gray tones)
  • E51 - E53 - E33 - E35 - E57 - E27 - E79 (for the dogs and the red-brown cats)
  • R20 is the pink I used for the ears and noses
Now look at some of the finished cards:

The sentiments I used are from Stempelkueche, Klartextstempel and Create a Smile Stamps. The fish and paws background is an Echo Park stamp, and the background with all the dogs and bones and paws is a Whipper Snapper Designs stamp.

A stamping friend had to undergo some surgery recently. This is a card I created for her. Owl stamp and sentiment by Joanny Sheen, wavy lines by Judi Kins. I used a little bit of Judi Kins' Diamond Glaze to make the owl's eyes more impressive (hard to see on the photo). The owl is colored with watercolors, dp by CreaMotions, cut and embossed with Spellbinders Nestabilities.

I couldn't stop giggling when I saw this stamp by American Art Stamps for the first time... We have two dogs, and their name is quite often "No no bad dog"... well, more frequently they're called Baxter and Vivaldi... Nevertheless, I had fun with this card which I created for this week's Splitcoaststampers' Sketch Challenge. I bought my first Copic markers recently, and I colored the image with them. Guess I need to practice a little more with the Copics, but I already fell in love with them! Dp by DCWV. Ohhhhh... what are the dogs doing while I'm uploading this????? No no, bad dog!!! ;-)

Pawprints On Your Heart

Today I had some time to stamp... and, as I felt some stamp withdrawal, I really longed to stamp. I checked out today's Splitcoast Limited Supplies challenge - and at first, I was a little bit disappointed that we were to use only ONE stamp... you see, I'm in kind of a stamp withdrawal, LOL! We were to use a sentiment stamp, a single sentiment stamp, no more stamps... But then I thought of this wonderful sentiment - it is oh so true... and I really enjoyed this challenge!
The stamp is by Eureka Stamps, the design paper by DCWV (Scrapbook Kit in a Stack - Dogs), the heart brad by Reprint of Scandinavia, the clips by Around the Block, and the dog is die-cut with the CuttleKids Hamilton die.
This card is for Baxter, my wonderful Australian Shepherd, who really leaves his pawprints EVERYWHERE at rainy days, having had fun in the mud... and each and every day on my heart...

Doggy Congratulations

A neighbour asked me to create a card for a 60th birthday for a lady breeding chihuahuas. As I don't have any chihuahua stamp (you see, I'm more with the bigger dogs, I've got an Australian Shephard), I used these little guys and told them to line up... a hard thing to do for those bubbly doggies! They squabbled a little bit about who had the prettiest flower, but finally, I hope, they'll make some fine congrats!

The dogs are stamped with black Memories ink onto watercolor paper, then watercolored in the layering technique. This means that you start with very much water and only a very little bit of colour, then dry this layer and add some more color but only on parts of the light-colored area. Then dry again, add some more color on a little part and so on. You can achieve wonderful color shades with this technique, it only needs some patience. You can speed up the drying process with your heat tool.
Noses and belly buttons were colored with a black marker (again, some patience is needed, I was a little bit too early with the last dog's belly button, so it flew a little bit). I added some mini Prima flowers with mini brads onto the stamped flowers and attached the panel to brown cardstock, pawprint designer paper and finally added a sentiment (congratulations) and two mini paw-print stickers with the numbers 60.

Okay, doggies, and now please the barking choir: Hap-bark woof-day woof you...
